Nigel Paul Farage was born in 1964. He
is a British politician and broadcaster who has served as leader of Reform UK
(formerly the Brexit Party) since June 2024, and previously served as leader
from 2019 to 2021. He was also the leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP)
from 2006 to 2009, and from 2010 to 2016.
He served as a Member of the European
Parliament (MEP) for South East England from 1999 until the UK left the
European Union in 2020.
Before his career in politics and
broadcasting, Farage worked in the City of London as a commodities trader at
the London Metal Exchange.
Known as a prominent Eurosceptic since
the early 1990s, Farage campaigned for the UK’s withdrawal from the European
Union, and is widely credited as being one of the main influences behind the
vote to leave the EU in the referendum of June 2016.
Below are my 10 favourite inspirational quotes by Nigel Farage.
“I don't look back at anything. I look
forwards.”
“It's amazing how ideas start out,
isn't it?”
“Whatever my faults, I have some
principles.”
“The great skill of investment is to
know when the right time is to get out. Getting in's easy.”
“I believe that the ability to talk to
people and have them feeling engaged rather than patronised isn't something you
can learn. It's a bit like being able to sing or play cricket. You can either
do it, or you can't.”
“Predictions are a mug's game.”
“I can be impatient. I can be a bit
short sometimes. You're nearly always shortest with those who are most
important to you.”
“I hate big government; I hate being
told what to do on a personal basis.”
“I judge everybody on the Farage Test.
Number one, would I employ them? Number two, would I go for a drink with them?”
“I just say it as I see it, behave as
I do. If people don't like it, they can take a running jump.”
